Approximately 30% of Americans and Europeans suffer from back pain. There is a plethora of supposedly “healthy back products.” The “Campaign for Healthy Backs” (German: "Aktion gesunder Rücken" - AGR) was founded 15 years ago in order to help people navigate the wide range of product offerings by recognizing the best back-friendly products with their quality seal of approval.

How must a product be designed in order to provide optimal support of the spinal column and range of motion? Since this is usually not self-evident at first glance, the Campaign for Healthy Backs (AGR) offers consumers assistance in evaluating their choices. The AGR quality seal of approval recognizes products that successfully meet criteria set by an independent panel made up of medical and scientific experts.

Well-designed and -constructed products can be effective tools in preventing back pain, and in therapeutic use for movement-related illnesses. However, it is not easy to choose the right product. The quality seal of approval developed jointly by the AGR and the Federal Association of German Back Schools, serves as a guide for consumers when purchasing ergonomic goods for everyday use, such as office furniture, automobile seats, beds, sofas, arm chairs, shoes, etc.

The bellicon is the only mini trampoline in the world to receive the AGR quality seal of approval. The AGR based its decision on the fact that exercise on the bellicon is effective, gentle, and produces a positive effect on back muscles, the spine, and spinal discs.

A high-quality mini-trampoline is built with the best environmentally safe materials. Special attention is paid to the textiles due to the fact that there are many materials on the market that are considered to be questionable. The cover sheaths used for our bungees have been tested by an independent institute, and certified according to the Eco-Tex Standard and recognized with the Eco-Tex seal of quality. Products that meet the Eco-Tex standard have special labels to indicate this. Their seal of approval guides consumers in making informed decisions regarding textile products of all types. “Confidence in textiles.” With this motto the international Eco-Tex network of independent institutes has stood for safety in textile products of all types since 1992. To this end, they conduct safety and toxicity tests according to Eco-Tex Standard 100.

Our trampolines are made almost exclusively with parts produced in Germany. Only certain raw materials not available domestically are imported, and the mats are sewn outside Germany. During 2011 we will relocate mat production and sewing operations to Germany. Trampolines are pre-assembled under the highest quality standards in our Cologne facility. From there, trampoline parts are shipped to the U.S. for final assembly in our Chicago warehouse. We are pleased that we can offer a high-quality product and do our part to create jobs in the U.S.
