There are countless types of exercise equipment on the market today, but only few that deliver on what they promise. Here is an overview of how the bellicon stacks up to other products.

Other Trampolines

Mini trampolines with metal springs – mostly made in China – are a dime a dozen. The difference between them and the bellicon is like night and day.

Most importantly, the bounce of a bellicon is much softer and more elastic. This influences not only your overall well-being (much less impacts on joints and ligaments) but also the result of your workout. The longer cycle of deceleration on the mat -- unmatched by the rigid rebound of metal spring trampolines -- is a more efficient exercise of muscles. 

Every time you jump up and then come down again, the process of muscle tension and relaxation takes place. This also occurs on a trampoline with steel springs. What makes the bellicon so special is its suspension. Due to its high elasticity, the up and down bouncing is lengthened. Whilst bouncing on a rebounder with steel springs you are slowed down almost immediately and have a fast and hard bounce.

Deceleration on the highly flexible trampoline is extended, resulting in the musculature being exerted for longer. This decelerating training is called »eccentric exercise«. Therefore, we are convinced that exercise on a bellicon is much more effective than working out on a metal spring trampoline.

Rebounders with metal springs make squeaking and other irritating sounds. If this annoys you, just think of your neighbors, roommates, or colleagues!
